Bipasha to play Zeenat onscreen

Finally, all speculation about the female lead in Rohan Sippy’s Dum Maro Dum has been put to rest. Bipasha Basu will be playing the glamorous junkie from Goa opposite Telugu star Rana Daggubati in the film. The film’s remaining star cast has been finalised earlier - Abhishek Bachchan, Pratik and Aditya Pancholi.
Rohan sounded excited as he confirmed the development, “Yes we have signed Bipasha for the film as she fits the character perfectly.” Reacting to reports that Bipasha’s character is modelled on flower child Zeenat Aman played in Dev Anand’s Hare Rama Hare Krishna, he said, “Zeenat Aman is my all time favourite and I hold her in high esteem.
There is no one who can be like her but yes, Bipasha has sex appeal and connects well with the audience.
But the film has nothing to do with Hare Rama Hare Krishna, except elements like gangsters, drugs and the fact that it is set in Goa.” Shooting for the film starts in two weeks.
